The Sales Manager Role

Hiring Immediately - As a Sales Manager, you'll lead our sales team to new heights while driving business growth across Macomb and Oakland counties. This is a high-impact leadership position where you'll build, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals while maintaining your own sales pipeline.

You'll be responsible for developing strategic growth initiatives, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring your team consistently exceeds sales targets. This role combines hands-on sales leadership with strategic business development, offering unlimited earning potential and clear advancement opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team to consistently exceed revenue targets
  • Conduct daily stand-up meetings, weekly performance reviews, and one-on-one coaching sessions
  • Monitor team performance metrics and implement strategies to improve conversion rates and close ratios
  • Motivate and inspire the team through recognition programs, incentives, and positive reinforcement

Recruiting & Training

  • Recruit, interview, and hire top sales talent to build a world-class team
  • Design and deliver comprehensive onboarding and training programs for new hires
  • Conduct ongoing product knowledge training and sales technique workshops
  • Develop career advancement paths and succession planning for team members

Strategic Growth & Business Development

  • Develop and execute strategic growth initiatives to expand market share in Macomb and Oakland counties
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with builders, real estate agents, and industry professionals
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop go-to-market strategies
  • Network at industry events, trade shows, and community functions to generate leads and build brand awareness

Performance Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze sales data, pipeline metrics, and market trends to inform strategic decisions
  • Prepare and present weekly/monthly sales reports to senior leadership
  • Forecast sales projections and develop action plans to achieve quarterly and annual targets
  • Implement CRM systems and ensure accurate pipeline management across the team

Direct Sales Excellence

  • Maintain personal sales pipeline and close high-value remodeling projects
  • Deliver compelling in-home consultations and sales presentations
  • Lead by example through consistent sales performance and professional conduct
  • Build long-term customer relationships and generate repeat business and referrals

Required Qualifications

Experience & Track Record

  • 3+ years of proven sales management experience with documented results exceeding targets
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting, hiring, and developing high-performing sales teams
  • Home improvement, construction, or remodeling industry experience strongly preferred
  • Track record of personal sales excellence with consistent quota achievement

Leadership & Management Skills

  • Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing teams of 5-15+ sales professionals
  • Strong coaching and mentorship skills with a passion for developing talent
  • Data-driven decision maker with proficiency in CRM systems and sales analytics
  • Ability to hold team members accountable while maintaining positive morale

Communication & Interpersonal Excellence

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for presentations and reporting
  • Dynamic public speaking ability to motivate teams and represent the company at events
  • Strong networking capabilities and relationship-building skills
  • Emotional intelligence and conflict resolution expertise

Sign-on Bonus

$3,900*

Earning Potential

$72,000 - $130,000/year

Hourly Rate plus uncapped commission and bonuses

*Lazarus Home Remodeling offers a $3,900 sign-on bonus, which will be paid weekly in $325 increments over the course of twelve weeks of initial training. The full sign-on bonus is contingent on successfully completing the twelve weeks of initial training.
